I have the same screen but mine has 11g under mode for my wife’ iPhone 4s. Is your iPhone 4s on ISO 6 ?

If you upgrade your iPhone 4s to ISO 6 you will see the same problem as me. My wife has an old iPad with the older ISO and it connects with 11n in any wireless mode. I like the 2.10NA version better than the 2.07NA so I will stay with 2.10NA.

I'll presume that the issue could be with iOS 6 then. I'm only upgrading to iOS 6 once it becomes an untethered JB.
If other devices are connecting at N modes and the 4S with iOS 6 isn't, the problem probably lies with the iOS version. You might downgrade to iOS 5 if your really wanting N mode speeds. You'll need to refer to Apple for support and information regarding this issue.

My wife’s iPhone 4s is connecting but showing 11g. I just noticed the Rate shows 65M for her iPhone. Is that correct for a 11g conection?
We are not going to go back to ISO 5. I don’t want to make my wife unhappy. You know how that goes.

Ya, go to keep the Wife happy man.

G mode max connection speed is 54, while N mode, depending on what the device supports, in this case, 65Mb is max for iPhones with N WiFi.

Odd that it shows G mode however reports 65Mb on the connection. As you can see, mine shows N mode and 65Mb connection.  :-\

What browser are you using?
Try Opera or FF? If IE 8 or 9, set compatibility mode and test again?

You know I think the iPhone 4s ISO 6 is really connecting as a N device. Rate is confirming what I think, especially since when I define the connection as “802.11n only” the iPhone still connects. It just shows 11g. It seems like the iPhone would not connect since I selected 802.11n only.

PS.
I am using IE 9 on Windows 7. I have compatibility mode set in IE 9.

Wonder if it's a possible status link issue between iOS 6 and the router. I guess if it's working for ya then your probably good to go.

I just saw my wife’s iPhone 4s connect to the router.  The Rate first showed 58M with the mode being blank.  The Rate then quickly changed to 65M with the mode blank and then the mode changed to 11g.  Maybe this will help diagnose the problem more. Also when the iPhone 4s goes to sleep it drops of the network. The iPad always stays connected.

Suppose you don't have a different iphone 3, 4 or 4s that you can test? A friend or neighbor maybe?

What iOS is the iPAD at?

The iPAD ISO is 5.1.  I will check and see if I can find another iPhone to connect to my router.
