I am planning on add a second DNS-323 with the new 2T Western Digital drives but wanted to make sure they are compatible first...

Here is the information about the drives....

Western Digital 2TB Caviar Green WD20EADS - SATA 3 Gb/s, 32MB Cache
As hard drive capacities increase, the power required to run those drives increases as well. WD Caviar Green drives make it possible for energy-conscious customers to build systems with higher capacities and the right balance of system performance, ensured reliability, and energy conservation.

Reduced power consumption - WD has reduced power consumption by up to 40 percent compared to standard desktop drives with the combination of WD's IntelliSeek™, NoTouch™, and IntelliPower™ technologies.

Helps enable eco-friendly PCs - WD Caviar Green drives yield an average drive power savings of 4-5 watts over standard desktop drives making it possible for our energy-conscious customers to build systems with higher capacities and the right balance of system performance, ensured reliability, and energy conservation.

AS long as you dont plan on using it in RAID, it MIGHT work.

if you buy it and try it, post your results.

If u buy it and it doesnt work, its not my fault.  I said MIGHT

I would wait till a D-link person comments on the 2TB drives.
you are at the bleeding edge of size there so there may be issues... 1.5TB disks needed a patch for RAID and I believe they said it was only so that the RAID recognized the size and not for making the work in general.

1,07 firmware ... doesn't work in radi mode, I try to reformat them because now I can't do anything if they are in the NAS.
Need to format boith by another way ..... super !!! I hope a new firmware with correction for 2tb HDD will be release soon but for the moment if you bought 2 WB 2tb ... just cry.

The pb seems to be the same than 1,5tb HDD, format stop at 94% and after nothing.

Please work quickly and release a new version soon

94% format was never an issue with the 1.5tb. You just plain could not type in the number for the raid size. You are experiencing another issue. Try clearing your cache or trying another browser to format, or both.

I disagree about the 94% not being an issue with 1.5tb drives. I was going through setup  with 2 1.5tb drives when it stuck at 94% after that the unit was completely hosed and had to be returned to Newegg for a new one.

Let me rephrase it, 94% issue has been around a long time and is hard to pinpoint. It however was NOT the reason the 1.5tb drives were not supported as a raid. 94% issue appears to happen on any drives/nas randomly at this point.

This issue can be fixed by simply updating the firmware on the Seagate hard drive I have found many times. I personal have had this issue and fixed it by doing this.
