Copy speeds and cpu usage
« on: March 12, 2013, 01:19:26 AM »

I've installed fun plug on my 320L, this way I can use Transmission and minidlna that I found a lot better than the default apps, but something's a bit strange with it - mostly its base cpu usage.
for eg. if I open a ssh to the device and do a file copy between the 320l two disk I find that the maximum speed is 8-10MB/sec and the shell cpu usage will be over 30% while if I just copy the same file to my pc over smbd I will get my 100mbit full bandwidth (so 11MB/s) and around 9% cpu usage.
it this regular? a device that has lower internal speed than over the net looks somewhat suspicious.

Does it change if you copy files that is 4 - 5 GB and files that is below 100 MB or even smaller?
