Seeing as this is an end of life product, I don't really expect anything to really be done about this, but still felt like getting it off my chest regardless...
This morning I checked on the progress of some torrents I'd left downloading overnight, but the list was totally blank... A little puzzled, I opened the UNC path to my DNS320 and noticed that "Volume_1" was showing up, but none of the shares from this volume were present (P2P, music, my backup)
Restarting the device made no difference.
This in itself isn't much of a problem, as it takes 1 minute to set up the shares again. The real issue here is that it reset the permissions of Volume_1 so that everybody has full read/write access to it! Thankfully nobody else would have had access at the time it happened, but if left unchecked this could have been an absolute nightmare for me!!!
Between this issue and the crippling speeds, I think it's nearly time for me to start saving up for a Synology replacement!
Volume_2 and its shares were untouched... The log file shows nothing useful
