Can you read the logfile direct from system?

Is it possible to read the logfile from a path on the NAS out of interest? Hidden file maybe? No idea myself if this is possible.

It is, after you've installed FunPlug (ie gained access to Linux shell on the NAS).
You can also set NAS to mail you the log after it is wrapped.
PS You won't find anything more interesting in there, than what you can see through the web interface.

Thanks, if there is no extra I probably won't bother, was hoping there would be something in there to track my fan issue down with.
