Usb HDD share by UPnP
« on: April 29, 2013, 03:05:45 AM »

Hi,

I have a D-Link 657 with an WD MyBook on the shareport.
I am able to acces my HDD with every computer in the house, but my mediaplayer (a raspberry pi with raspbmc on it) can't download the shareport plus software.
Is there another way to make my files accesable to network devices?

My mediaplayer works with NFS, UPnP, SMB, Zeroconf, SSH, FTP and some less important ones.

I hoped by enabling UPnP on my D-link it would share my HDD, but this is not the case.
Or maybe an alternative to the shareport?

Does anyone know how to share a shareport-device by UPnP or an other protocol?

I hope there is a way, untill now I found the shareport rather disapointing.
Thanx
