d-link dir-826l:
1. workstation (no problem) - wired
2. laptop (problem) - in both cases (as wired or wireless)

two adapters:
for wireless: intel wifi link 5100 agn
for wired: intel 82567lm gigabit

router connected workstation without issue.
but laptop seems to "hate" the router.

i checked cable and checked ports of router - they are OK.
i connected with cable to other wired network without problem.
i connected to other wireless network of other router without problem.

i disabled APIPA at laptop in registry, because windows gave APIPA IP.
(Creation of REG_DWORD entry IPAutoconfigurationEnabled with value of 0 in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters and reboot)
well, the result is, that interface has no IP

of course, i always have only one adapter on, while the other is off.

i tried every advice you usually give people in this forum about router configuration, except DHCP reservation, because router connected my workstation and DHCP gave it IP without a need of DHCP IP reservation.
i connect to my wireless network, but with limited access.

i don't think, that problem is in network adapters of laptop, because adapter has no problem in other networks (wired or wireless).

firmware version of router is 1.01.
hardware version is A1.

or something very special in wireless settings?

Some things to try: - Log into the routers web page at 192.168.0.1. Use IE, Opera or FF to manage the router.
Turn off ALL QoS or Disable Traffic Shaping (DIR only) GameFuel (DGL only and if ON.) options. Advanced/QoS or Gamefuel.
Turn off Advanced DNS Services if you have this option under Setup/Internet/Manual or under Setup/PARENTAL CONTROL/Set to>None: Static IP or Obtain Automatically From ISP.
Enable Use Unicasting (compatibility for some ISP DHCP Servers) under Setup/Internet/Manual.
Turn on DNS Relay under Setup/Networking.
Setup DHCP reserved IP addresses for all devices ON the router. Setup/Networking. This ensures each devices gets its own IP address when turned on and connected, eliminates IP address conflicts and helps in troubleshooting.
Ensure devices are set to auto obtain an IP address.
If IPv6 is an option on the router, select Local Connection Only or Disable IPv6 options under Setup/IPv6.
Set Firewall settings to Endpoint Independent for TCP and UDP under Advanced/Firewall.
Enable uPnP and Multi-cast Streaming under Advanced/Networking. Disable uPnP for testing Port Forwarding rules.
Turn off WISH, and WPS under Advanced.
WAN Port Speed set to Auto or specific speed? Some newer ISP modems support 1000Mb so manually setting to Gb speeds can be supported by the router. Advanced/Advanced Networking/WAN Port Speed
Set current Time Zone, Date and Time. Use an NTP server feature. Tools/Time.

Ensure adapter drivers are up to date on the LT.

Turn off all anti virus and firewall programs on PC while testing. 3rd party firewalls are not generally needed when using routers as they are effective on blocking malicious inbound traffic.

I reset the router and gave the router to colleague at work to check.
I did not watch him while he was configuring.

Now I am comparing his configuration with mine, so I can tell differences.
Colleague enabled IPv6 Simple Security, enabled uPnP, enabled IPv6 multicast streams, enabled WPS and enabled SPI.

Wi-fi works.

Case has been solved.

Unless you need IPv6, I would disable any IPv6 options, however you may need it if you are using IPv6.
uPnP is needed along with SPI.

WPS isn't needed unless you use that method to connect wireless devices to the router. Preferred method is to disable WPS and use the following;
WiFi SSID and PW

WPA2/AES Only. Some WiFi adapters don't support AES, so you might want to try TPIK only or Auto.
Try single mode G or mixed G and N on 2.4Ghz and single mode N on 5Ghz if you don't have any A or B mode devices.

Used Method: WPA2 Only / TKIP and AES.

Mixed mode is used.

WPS and IPv6 are not used, but I am afraid to disable them

Well you can test one option at a time if you want too..if it doesn't work, then just re-enable that one option. I don't think WPS or IPv6 should effect anything though. Shouldn't effect your PCs unless they are set up for IPv6.
