Read only Rights
« on: April 16, 2013, 01:24:25 PM »

Hi All

I have installed setup ddns etc all working correctly but i am pulling my hair out on setting the rights.

for a test

1) i have created a user test.

2) created a group readonly.

3) created a folder readonly.

4) no share to readonly given user test readonly access to folder readonly via group access.

logged in via web address not 192. address and user right click file and delete WTF !!!

ok tried another option.

1) user :test

2) delete group use all together  no group access at all.

3) create a network share to folder readonly give it readonly add user test to it.

login as test and still user can delete file in readonly folder ???

Whats the point of having any security when it dont work.

I am using windows7 and all access is being done via web interface.

thanks in advance. for any advice.

I have purchased this so i can share files with family only but want to control access.
