Hello, I work in one hotel and I have issues regarding Iphone connectivity and also interference. In almost every room we've got this model of router. Right now I'm trying to change the channels to not overlap, but with 9 rooms per floor it won't be so easy. I've got CCNA certificate, but with wireless I'm not so in deep. I'm looking for a good course which I'll learn good. I don't know if there willl be possibility to buy some Wi-fi repeater or bridge, but you should know when there is nobody in the room, everything is switched off. In some places there is plasterboard and outside the room I can see very low signal. Tommorrow I'll walk with InSSIDer. Do you have some ideas how to boost and improve the hotel network? Thank you.

Ya, if you have more than several in close proximity then your going to encounter interferences. specially when preferred channels available are only 1, 6 and 11. All other channels are side band channels that the routers use to communicated with devices and use if interferences are encountered.

Try setting Medium or Low power output settings and test again Under Advanced/Advanced Wireless. If these only only needed for close proximity in rooms then reducing the WiFi broadcast foot print will help.

I would recommend using D-Link dedicated APs or extenders instead of using dedicated routers. Alot more hassled in configuring them. Using DAPs or certain DIR series APs can make it easier.
