DNR-322L connecting to Mydlink
« on: July 03, 2013, 06:48:53 PM »

I just uploaded ver: 1.04. The setup using the ver: 1.04 wizard steps through until step D. At that time it tells me that the disks are being formatted. In actual fact, the unit does record and playback etc. For some reason, I can't get to the point where the Dlink number is uploaded to Mydlink. I have registered this unit through regular channels, but I need to get it through the setup wizard. Can anyone help?
Thanks.PS. I originally had Ver: 1.03. When I first set up the unit it registered correctly and I could read it through Mydlink.

From what you describe, it sounds like the DNR-322L was working fine under firmware v1.03. Why did you reformat the unit after upgrading to firmware v1.04?

Actually I didn't re-format. The wizard program takes you through the steps as when I started originally. In that case I had a choice of formatting or not, and how the two disks were to be used. In this case, the wizard doesn't give a choice, but says that it is re-formatting, while it is still recording perfectly. The wizard hangs here, with 100% bar done. I need to get to the last stage to be able to register the mydlink number of the DNR-322L to my Mydlink account. I will say that at least the ver:1.04 seems to continue recording, rather than just stopping whenever it likes. Do you have another program that could get me to the mydlink registration?

I mentioned that I could originally read the DNR-322L through mydlink.com. I started not being able after about a month of use. I have tried to re-wizard ver:1.03, with no result, so I decided to try ver:1.04. That is where I am now.

Quite often, D-Link updates the Wizard applications, and they are not always backwards compatible.  You can visit the D-Link Taiwan site (http://tsd.dlink.com.tw/downloads2008detail.asp) to download a more recent Wizard version.  Be sure to select a Wizard version that maps to your region and hardware version.
