« on: July 05, 2013, 09:46:30 AM »

DNS-323 with FW 1.8
after i changed two 2TB HDD and form RAID 1,i start to config the HDD and raid..... it will suddenly disappear from the network after run for a while, may be only can run few hours.
I cannot ping, easy search cannot find the NAS but the LAN LED is still on.
I need to power off and on the NAS again in order to make it online again.
May i know if anyone have this problem and have solution or not?

My first thought is that the IP address may be changing due to a device conflict or reserved/static IP address. Are you reserving an IP address for the DNS-323 through your router? Do you have a static IP address set from within the DNS-323? Please see the following ShareCenter FAQ sticky post:

My guess is that there is an app running on the NAS that's hanging it - disable all the server running (ftp, itunes, etc.) and see if the problem goes away - then re-enable them one by one.

RAID1 is for disk redundancy - NOT data backup - don't confuse the two.
