New firmware showing available on iPhone app
« on: July 21, 2013, 03:05:24 AM »

On my iPhone app it shows new firmware available for my DCS-930L. However I went to the UK Dlink page for the camera and the firmware shown there is the one I already have on from a few month ago.

http://www.dlink.com/uk/en/home-solutions/cloud/%7E/%7E/link.aspx?_id=9AACB2E079854A8197C09CB52EE9E88B&_z=z

Does anyone else get this? Where is the new firmware then? If any, what does it do?

Cheers

Ah so there is a newer version than the one on the above official DLink UK website then. So how do I get this and what are the update fixes/additions/bug fixes for it and where do I get it please? And also why is it not in the UK website.

Cheers

Please see the sticky posts at the head of this board.

  • See the first post of the thread "DCS-930L - Firmware v1.08b04 Comments & Observations" for the firmware download location.
  • See the thread "DCS-930L - Cumulative Firmware Release Notes" for changes.

Different D-Link regions have different release cycles and testing criteria.

FYI -- the mydlink.com/support website is usually the best source for the latest releases of D-Link network camera firmware. From my observations, the regional websites are typically upgraded well after mydlink.com/support site.

So I should upgrade then even if its not showing on my local (UK) DLink site?

Wow that was a wasted 4 hours of my life!! Eventually got the firmware updated, but had loads of problems. Wouldn't connect via wired, couldn't see it, 1st firmware update crashed etc etc...
