Hi,

Just received my new D-Link DNS-320 firmware and wanted to update it to the latest firmware before i start using it in anger so i tried to update to v2.03 b03 and it failed. It tells me warning firmware update in progress and then a few seconds later a box pops up saying upload firmware fail, please try again.

I've since download the same firmware from another server, un-zipped the file without a problem, i've tried Internet Explorer v8 and Firefox v23 and even Chrome but all fail.

I thought maybe i might have to update to v2.00 first and then the others but even this fails as does, v2.02 and v2.03

Can someone please offer any help or advice on how to get this updated please?

I don't really want to rely on v1.00 firmware dated 07/12/2012 !

Hmmm might've just found the solution, my hardware version is B1 - what's the difference between the A1 and B1? Seem's a bit unfair there are a lot more recent firmware revisions available for the A1 compared to the B1? - Any ideas?

Firmware is not compatible between hardware revision, try looking for firmware meant for H/W B1 instead.

Thanks but i'd already figured that out, i tried DNS-320_B1_FW.1.00b03 it seemed to accept the file and inform me that firmware had been updated, but upon rebooting the NAS the firmware level remained the same as before, v1.00

Did you check the firmware date, it should at least reflect a newer date than what you previously have. But then in some cases, the NAS may already be shipped with a newer firmware so in a way you may actually be doing a downgrade instead.
