I've had a few 930L's for inside the house and haven't had any problems with them so I decided to get a 2332L for my front door. Setup and config was definitely not as smooth as the 930's. I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to keep the 2332 or go to the 7010 as I think the 7010 has a wider angle lens.
Here is my basic setup.
I do motion recording that records video to my NAS and emails pics to me.
Problems.
1. MyDlink (both the website and the iPhone app) do not respond well to the 2332. They have no problem with the 930's. I have plenty of bandwidth to my ISP and my LAN is clean and speedy. The 2332 is only 5ft from the router. After trying for many hours to get MyDlink working with the 2332 I started to question whether I need it (don't think so).
I found for live viewing the JustConnect+ app works MUCH better. So now I can't seem to get to the settings tab on MyDlink to remove it. It just times out.
Which brings up the question. Does having the cam linked to Mydlink Slow down the performance at all? If it does I'd really like to unregister it.
2. Are there any basic "start here" settings?
I turned the Sensitivity down from the default of 85 to 55 and left the Percentage at 5. This morning I was getting recordings/emails every few minutes and of course there was no movement. I the went to Sen 40 Per 15. and that seems to have stopped the midday false hits.
3. Is there a way to disable Profile 2? I only need one profile (I think). Anyone have any useful suggestions for a use for it?
On the other hand I just did a test where I set Profile 2 to the lowest res and noticed that JustConnect seems to be using that profile. Can this be changed?
