Sounds like you found the cause. Any chance you can roll back the drivers for the printer?

The drivers is  not the problem....spent several hours working to restore it like it was.  The first time I printed something the ink levels showed and I thought it was fixed. The second time the ink levels were shaded out. I just don't know what is wrong.

Sounds like windows reinstalled the newer drivers back over your
effort to go back to the older driver...

Might need to do some digging and physically remove the newer drivers
and then reinstall the older drivers...

Let us know if you can get the drivers cleaned off and resinstall the old ones. Might be possible of someone on here to use teamviewer.com and check your router settings to be sure. It sounds like the router is probably set up as you did get ink levels over wifi at some point.

Re: Blocks Epson Artisan ink levels FIX FOR SURE
« Reply #20 on: August 09, 2013, 09:22:55 AM »

As you can see it has took me some time to get the grayed out ink levels corrected in a Epson Artisan 835 fixed. The problem is NOT with the D-Link. Here is what happens: When you update the drivers a 830 driver is installed in stead of a 835 wireless driver. How can you correct all of this?

Here is how it is done: Boot up in safe mode and COMPLETELY remove all of Epson software and drivers. You will need to look in different places. Then while still in "Safe Mode" click on start/computer/(C:\ and look for any folders with the name Epson and delete them. Then use CCleaner and delete the registers. Now you can boot up as you  normally would. Just to be sure go to control panel and look through the programs with uninstall and make sure there is no more Epson left. Now go to Epson web site and download the drivers and software. (If you don't have the disc.) javascript:void(0);javascript:void(0);
