Port forwarding, makes my internet not work ?
« on: August 23, 2013, 04:40:12 PM »

Ok so Ive known how to forward ports before, on a normal router.

I found the ip of my computer I want ports forwarded on, added the ports I want opened checked off the box, hit save and boom.

Router reboots, turns back on, andd presto

Every pc in my house no longer has internet ?

I can connect to the router fine via typing in my IP, and could change it back and they all get internet back

Is there a reason this is happening?

Can I work around this to open my ports?

Thanks !

Can you post a picture of your configuration? This seems like a configuration issue...

Copy pasting this right out of my router, so if theres an error on my part youll see it

TCP-
80,8080,443, 55296-55551

UDP
55296-55551

schedule always
inbound filter allow all

Then my ipv4 is to the left, and the little box is checked off

Soon as I hit save, no internet on ALL computers/devices on my network

soon as I disable it, they all come back up

(yes after the modem reboots for both)

Those are main stream Internet ports that most every thing uses. It's not needed to PF those ports as the router and client devices can access those when needed.

Much appreciated for the help !

Had no idea that those ports specifically would cause my internet to mess up like that

Thank you
