FW 1.8 needs full ups support
« on: September 03, 2009, 02:50:10 PM »

I hope FW 1.8 will have full UPS support.... i can't see it in the release notes though so i hope it's not too late to consider?

I spent 1 week trying to  install NUT and it still doesnt work properly and almost bricked it. Such a great system like the dns-323 should come with ups functionality out of the box.
i can see some info on the ups in the dns-323 status tab but it doesn't really do anything.
thanks a billion

D-Link correct me if i'm wrong-- NUT is implemented in 1.08.

I'll venture to guess they're using the "stock" UPS definitions; but DNS-323 1.08b5 has no problem seeing my CyberPower UPS.

NUT was implemented, I believe, in fw 1.06 - it appears to be a default NUT implementation.
