is this a good forum to request firmware suggestions?
« on: November 18, 2013, 07:31:59 AM »

I spent close to a day trying to figure out why my guest account's SSID wasn't showing up, not knowing it was linked to the regular wireless SSID visible/invisible section. In my previous router brand there were separate options for each. It let my customers hide that there was a house account and customers only saw the guest accounts SSID.

That maybe a security feature that can't be changed as it maybe a new standard put out by the WiFi organization.

it would seem LESS secure as now you have half the info to an account; and can play 'guess the password'. I have new Cisco EA2700 and it has independent SSID visibility options for regular wi-fi and guest accounts.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for level 2 or higher support and ask to see if this is be design or a problem.

Let us know what you find out.
