DIR-615 S1
« on: December 19, 2013, 09:03:53 PM »

Hi,
I'm trying to find specifications for DIR-615 S1, but couldn't find it anywhere.
The problem is I bought DIR-615 online, but got DIR-615 S1 instead.
The only reference I have about DIR-615 S1 is from this page:
http://www.darkhaven.org/wiki/D-Link_DIR-615_rev_S1

Based on the page, it looks like this router is N-lite 150mbps, instead of Draft N 300mbps, and it only has 1x1:1 antenna while the original DIR-615 has 2x2:2 ?

Thats a model that is not sold here in the NA region. You'll need to contact your regional D-Link office and inquire about it. They may have taken the DIR-600 series case style and made it the 615's case style with only one antenna.

You might review the S1s User Manual or QIG PDFs to see if there is any information there.

Good luck.

Just to update:

I have received the router & installed it to replace DIR-601 L.
Apparently it has 2 antenna 2T2R Mimo.
Compared to DIR-601L, I got a good signal boost from -53db to -45db with this new router on the same location.
File transfer speed to wired desktop is 10.5 MB/s vs 8 MB/s with DIR-601L.
The router only has 100mbps switch, which is fine with me because I mainly use it to connect to the internet wirelessly from my laptop.
Bought it for $20 on Xmas sale.  It has been stable so far, so I'll keep it.

Seems to be available only in selected country though.
It is the same as Dlink GO-RT-N300 in Romania, Thailand, Italy.

BTW, MERRY XMAS !!!
