A moderator here stated that DGL-5500 will be for North America only.

Is there any chance that D-Link will release any router that have Streamboost outside NA? I'm from Asia and I badly need a router with StreamBoost for our Internet Cafe. Thanks in advance

It not currently slated for any other region. Other DIR series routers are and work well. I like the DIR 868L.

Also the 5500 is not ideal for an internet cafe. I recommend a DIR series router at minimum for that kind of business.

I am currently using Dlink LB-604 and it is the only router that works. I tried to replace it with TP-Link and Cisco and both failed because they dont have strict Binding of WAN to specific ports

I badly want to upgrade to DGL-5500 or any router with Streamboost so that I can Subscribe to higher ISP plans because I would only need 1 Internet connection instead of 2 that we have right now.

Its sad news that D-Link does not have plans for any router with Streamboost outside NA  :-[

Btw, How can you say that 5500 is not recommended for Internet Cafe? Are there known issues if 5500 is connected to 40+ computers?

I've already tried QOS and it doesn't work as advertised. Latency still increases if too many users are watching Videos from youtube or  live video stream from Twitch.tv. DIR 868L got QOS but not streamboost :(

Ask zbeyuz how his does on 50+  ::)

I believe there is some FAQ info on how SB works and what it does in the 5500 FAQ Library.

I highly recommend that you give the 868L a try. I believe this would be what you need. I also recommend phone contacting D-Link sales to ask them what they might recommend for your business.

The 5500 is meant for a home environment, not business.
