Direct Video Upload to Flickr
« on: February 27, 2014, 10:07:07 PM »

For my cameras I have my video record to a NAS that automatically uploads to Flickr.
But for my parents that don't have a NAS I thought it would be easy to use Flickr's email upload feature. I struggled to get it working but finally stumbled upon the solution. In Event Setup I had only one Media setting (video). I used this to both record to an SD card and also to upload to Flickr. The video was recording to the SD but not uploading. To make it work you need a separate Media setting to send to Flickr. Two different Events cannot share the same Media settings.

I absolutely love having the recordings uploaded automatically to Flickr and it doesn't hurt that they give you 1TB of space. That's a lot of recordings.

What a great suggestion! Thanks for this tip. I setup a free Flickr account and now am able to save my images on there. This makes it so much easier to browse through the recorded images. Thanks a bunch!
