DCS-930L Wireless dropping after 5 - 10 minutes
« on: February 21, 2014, 02:01:14 PM »

Hey Everyone;
I am glad I found this forum. I have a DCS-930L security camera and here is my network configuration;

1 - I have a good cable company providing internet to the house.
2 - I have Linksys EA6500 router (new)
3 - I have Linksys extenders around the house (new)
4 - The camera is in the garage which has a Linksys Extender also in.
5 - I have full signal almost everyroom
I can configure it wirelessly (green light on), and works through the computer or android phone but after 10 minutes, it android app shows (X) next to the camera. Cant access to it.(Even though I can not access to the camera, the light is still on). What I figured though, if I do unplug and plug it back from the power, it will work again for another 10 minutes ???
The firmware of the camera is unknown however, I believe there is an update needs to be done on the camera firmware.

Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.

Thanks for your reply Admin;

You think this will help the drops ?

And I forget to mention that I am using Mydlinklite app from my phone.

Thanks again.

Does the camera signal drop if you are using mydlink from a web browser on a wired PC?
What firmware version is installed on the DCS-930L?
