uPnP AV server
« on: June 02, 2009, 08:30:41 AM »

I just bought the 323 over the weekend.  It works as advertised.  Now, I enabled the uPnP server and it says everything is ok.  I've put some pictures into the folder....  But now, how do I "connect" to that folder so I can see them?  I can use the conventionsal \\server\folder to see the pictures, but I thought you can point to it with a browser and see them (but how)???  I guess the same with videoes (how to do it).  I tried using VLC to stream the video - no luck - I guess I don't know how to stream it using VLC.  Do I need some other software to do this??  I am using Firefox and of course VLC.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have not used the UPnP AV media server with VLC I usually just access the folders and play the video via browser. The UPnP AV media server is mainly used to access the media from a device like XBox or PS3 or one of our DSM-750 media devices.

Thank you for the reply.  I guess that I will just use UNC to connect rather than using uPnP server.
