how to get browser to use 32bit java on windows?
« on: February 20, 2015, 08:57:41 AM »

Hi.  I have a DCS-5020L and used to view camera on mydlink website an older laptop.

I got a new laptop, installed java, and at the mydlink website, and I'm met with an error "can't load IA 32-bit .dll on AMD 64-bit platform".

I have now both 64 and 32 bit java.  How can I get chrome (or any browser) to use 32bit java so I can view my camera on mydlink site?  Do I need to run a 32bit browser or can I use 64bit browser?  I'm using 64bit browser.

I've uninstallled and reinstallled java jre and jdk several times and I can't get a working combination.

Please help.

PC Web Browser Configurations
Try Opera or FF? If IE 8, 9, 10 or 11, set compatibility mode and test again.
Disable any security browser Add-ons like No Script and Ad-Block or configure them to allow All Pages when connected to the router.
Clear all browser caches.
Be sure to log into the Admin account on the router.

mydlink.com Supported Browsers
Internet Explorer 7 or higher (32-bit) - Add mydlink.com to the "Compatibility View" exceptions list.
