So is your DIR-655 working again? or are you still using a blackberry?  You might try a wifi
scanner like 'inSSIDer' http://www.metageek.net/products/inssider . That might show if there
are any competing wifi networks in your area?

Some users are reporting disabling "DNS Relay" helps with freezing issues.
