When I ran the diagnostics on the adapter it came up with the following "Windows couldn't automatically bind the IP protocol stack to the network adapter." I found the solution on the Microsoft site posted by a user:

Go to:
Control Panel > Administration Tools > Computer Management > Services & Applications > Services.

Scroll down this list to find 'WLAN Auto Config'

Double click on 'WLAN Auto Config' On the general tab,  select from the start up type drop down menu,  select 'Automatic'. Under Service Status click on 'Start'. Then 'Apply' these settings and exit from all open control panel windows.

This should then allow Windows to set the required bindings.

Thanks for sharing this information, however if the D-Link Drivers are installed, it should be able to connect and bind using D-Link wizard...by default the WLan Auto Config is usually enabled in windows.
