Unable to enable motion detection with cgi commands
« on: March 16, 2014, 02:31:59 AM »

Hello everyone,
I wish to activate and deactivate the motion detection with my camera http commands.
I read that the CGI were the same as the DCS-2130L model.
Here are the commands:
To activate motion: http://cameraIP:port/config/motion.cgi?enable=yes
To desactivate motion: http://cameraIP:port/config/motion.cgi?enable=no
The problem is that it does not work.
Any idea?
Thank you in advance

When you try these commands, does it ask for a login?
Does it work if you add the admin username and password into the string?
E.g.:

http://username:password@cameraIP:port/config/motion.cgi?enable=yes
http://cameraIP:port/config/motion.cgi?enable=yes&user=USERNAME&password=PASSWORD

Hello,
Thank you for your reply.

I when i try this command:
http://cameraIP:port/config/motion.cgi?enable=yes
or
http://username:password@cameraIP:port/config/motion.cgi?enable=yes

I obtain this reply in my browser interface
enable=yes
mbmask=FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
sensitivity=50
percentage=5

It seems to be ok but it doesn't.
When i connect me to the camera web interface, i can see that the motion detection is not enabled.

When i tried to this command : http://cameraIP:port/config/motion.cgi?enable=yes&user=USERNAME&password=PASSWORD
He does ask me for a login and a password.

I don't understand why it doesn't work.
