Help with noob questions
« on: April 28, 2014, 06:15:44 PM »

Hi.

I'm buying a set of (initially) 4 cameras dcs932l and later I'll add +4 (probally same model) with one router DIR 655 and intend to use on one brand new PC with win7 OS and the last version of Dviewcam.

My questions are about configuring this PC:

1 - Will DViewcam work in one AMD A8 with 4 GB ram (with onboard video) ? That config is more powerfull and cheaper.

2 My other choice is one i3 with 2 GB + AMD 6670 ? This config is more expensive, and less powerfull.

Which config i should use ? Please advice...

Thanks in advance.

Hi there!

For the number of cameras you are planning to use the software, there shouldn't be too much of a demand for power if you are just going to do 24/7 recording, although get ready with storage space (Here is small calculator you can use to begin to see the requirements) If you want to do a more or have plans to expand the camera network, then here are the Minimum Systems Requirements posted for the (DCS-100) D-ViewCAM v3.60 software package.

Come back with your are done with the project!
