Viewing Auto-Backuped Recordings?
« on: May 14, 2014, 06:55:06 AM »

I have a DNR-322L with 9 cameras attached. These recordings take up a ton of space and fills the DNR fairly quickly. I soon realized the DNR was only saving the past ~5 days of videos (even though I have this set to 14 days) because it was running out of space.

I noticed that there is "Auto-Backup Setup" on the DNR and I have configured these settings to automatically backup (FTP) the recordings to a 4TB NAS I have on the network. I know this is working correctly because I can see the files on the NAS, I just can't figure out a way to view these recordings! They are all in .dat format. I have not found a way to be able to add this folder in D-View cam for viewing and these recordings do not show up when trying to playback video from the DNRs GUI.

Can anybody tell me how to view these .dat files from the backup folder on my NAS? Any help with viewing these recordings would be greatly appreciated because I'm completely lost.

Thanks!

This post on the D-ViewCam board may provide some insight, presuming the data type is the same...
