I live in a solid masonry house with a lot of metal in the walls.  Wireless connectivity is sketchy is some areas of the house.  My ISP has installed a cable modem/wifi router and I thought maybe I could use my Dlink to wirelessly connect to the cable router to acquire an IP Address and then extend the wireless range to the problem areas.  I realize that that the dlink will have to have an internal and external IP but don't know how to configure it.

Am I all wet or is this possible?

I cannot run cat5 or I would use the dlink as an access point.

• What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.

The only option is to run LAN cable to the 615 and use it as a wired AP:
Turning a router into an AP.

Bridging is not supported on this model router.

OK that's what I needed to know.  Is there a Dlink consumer model that supports bridging?
