Ethernet Port Problem?
« on: June 15, 2009, 08:54:18 AM »

I've had the 321 for several weeks, and been pretty happy with its operation to this point. Yesterday, I happened to walk by the unit several times, and it appeared that the Ethernet connection to the router was dropping (connectivity indicators on 321 and Linksys router would go out, then come back on after 30 seconds to one minute). I didn't have time to check it, but last night noticed that the Ethernet light on the 321 is out, and so is the corresponding light on the router).
I hope to have time to troubleshoot it tonight, and wondered if anyone else has heard of or experienced this.

Try another ethernet cable if you have one available.

Well, it's always the last think you'd think of. Thank you for the suggestion of the Ethernet cable -- that's exactly what it was. This is a brand new cable, and there must be a small break in it because when I move or place it the right way, the connection goes out.
