When disk is full DNR only rewinds about 5%.

I have a 165GB drive attached. I have the cameras set on both record and motion detect. All of that works fine. However when my disk drive reaches capacity about 99.35% instead of rewinding to the beginning it only rewinds to 147GB and starts recording from there until it reaches the end then rewinds to 147GB. Why does it not rewind to the beginning 0GB? I have no use for 147GB of old camera footage.

I have the latest firmware 1.02 installed. This should rewind all the way back and start recording again.
