My D-Link DSL-2642B's wireless connection keeps dropping. The LAN connection is fine however the wireless seems to drop randomly (Or when the traffic on the router is high).
Running firmware:
Current Firmware Version : AU_2.10
Current Firmware Date : 20101006
What I've done:
- Allocated DHCP Reservations for all devices
- Noticed system log has Wireless Errors http://imgur.com/9tNJeBm
- Called ISP and they 'Reset the router on their end'
- Changed router channel to 4 (Lots of routers in this area)
We have around 5-6 devices on the network at any one time. The dropouts occur if we are downloading/listening to music/doing anything other than looking at static webpages (Exaggeration but thats what it feels like). I have to unplug the router and replug it for it to restart and allow us to reconnect.
Ideas?
