« on: February 12, 2015, 04:32:58 PM »

hello. sorry in advance about how i explain my self or the names i use for stuff

i have a D-link i got from my internet provider, model DSL-6850U
right now it is set to get internet from the DSL line, only using PPPoE login info
i need to set is so it will take internet without any "dial-up" from the LAN1 input
basically i need to somehow change it to only being a router with Dynamic-ip connection i think, but i cant seem to do that
any help would be appreciated

I recommend that you phone contact your ISP support office and ask for help and information regarding this. If this unit was provided by the ISP, then it may have there own FW and support features which will need to be addressed directly with the ISP since it's there HW. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.
