I am updating the firmware on my DIR-655 rev B1. It said the operation was successful. I got a blank page. I waited about 15 minutes and nothing happened. The power button was blinking orange. I ended up unplugging it to get back online. I tried resetting but that did not help. I need some advice. Thanks.

Well i tried the emergency thing. I cannot get an internet connection even if i change to a static address.

Where you able to connect to the router and access the recovery page and load the FW file and let it reboot. After you do that and the router reboots, set your PC back to automatic networking and you should be able to get to the routers web page?

No, it said no internet connection. The firmware i had was the NA 2.10? from 2012. I had tried to upload  DIR655B1_FW211NAB07.bin which is what the router wizard said to use. When i plug the router in i loose the connection. I changed cable and ran the wizard on my computer. I also tried running the setup disk.

So after applying the FW. Can you get to the routers web page at 192.168.0.1 at all with a web browser and the PC wire connected to one of the LAN side ports on the router?

• What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
• What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?
• Is ISP Modem/Service using Dynamic or Static WAN IP addressing?
• What ISP Modem service link speeds UP and Down do you have?

Well i am going to wait a few days. I just found out that land lines/dsl in my area has been having a major disruption. Of course I have dsl internet [AT&T].
