Hello.. Is there a way to configure this router, so that if a computer is shut off, then turned on, the user must re-enter the password to gain access? Also, how does one change the password? When I've changed the password, I instantly lose the ability to access, and must re-set the entire router, and re-program it.. I tried doing this in the admin setting, but it still cuts me off.. Thanks..

What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under the router case.
Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
What region are you located?

If you change the SSID PW on the router, and save the settings, you will be disconnected from the wifi on the router as you now need to go to the PCs wifi configuration and reconnect to the SSID using the new PW that you changed. This is standard configuration procedure.

Firmware 5:10.. With regards to logging back in.. I can't.. My pc is connected to the essid with the old password.. It doesn't mtter what I do.. Restart, shut down, the same essid is still there with the old password.. Other than logging in with another computer, what is the way around this?

You need to remove any old wifi profiles and configurations from the OS, try rebooting after this then try to reconnect using the NEW PW.

What OS are you using?

Do other devices exhibit this same issue?

You'll need to contact the Mfr of your PC or the Mfr of the OS and get help and information regarding this.

Well notwithstanding my OS, is there a way to configure the router so that each time a person logs on, he has to re-enter his password? I've noticed some motels etc., where you have to re-enter the password if you shut your computer down..

No, this would be done at the OS or device level, not the router level. Or this would take a specific router or web site service to do this.
