My DIR-655 broadcasts two SSIDs, one for the “normal” network and one for the “guest network.” I have dead zones in my house that can’t be addressed by moving the router, so I’d like to use a range extender. I bought a D-Link DAP-1320, but it will connect to and range-extend only one of my SSIDs. Can anybody advise me how I can extend the range of both SSIDs (i.e., both the “normal” and the ”guest” networks) with only a single range extender? (I assume I could use two range extenders, but my understanding is that each would reduce the wireless bandwidth offered by the router by a factor of two, so I'd prefer to pay that penalty only once.)

• What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under the router case.
• Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
• What region are you located?

You may need a 2nd extender to connect to the guest network SSID name...

Hardware version is B1, Firmware version is 2.11NA. I don't know what you mean by region, but I'm in the United States.

No thoughts on how to get the range of both normal and guest zone extended? What about using a DAP-1522? Can that be configured to act as an AP for both SSIDs?

I think you'll need another DAP device to repeat the guest zone SSID name since it's separate.
