Some Local Backups are not completing

Hello,

I've 3  recurring backups scheduled.
2 run well.
1 always end with failure. (the test runs successfully)

The 3 ones are from same pc same user and same parent share.
The difference are the child folders.

How can we see a detailed log of this app?

OK, you have a backup system that works but it appears that you have a problem folder on your PC that is preventing one backup set completing (it may be down to just one file in that problem folder).

You should be able to find the problem folder because that is either an incomplete folder in the set on your NAS or, if there is no incomplete folder it is the next one that would have been written.

Once you know the folder or file check if it is one that conflicts with the cut down Linux OS that runs the NAS.  If that is the case rename it to prevent conflicts and see if the backup completes.  If it does, problem solved.  If it doesn't post a full directory listing of the problem backup set and we mighr be able to spot the problem.

The structure is very long. I will assume it starts alphabetically the checking/copying and will try to see which one is incomplete.

But It would be much easier if there was a log of the copy so we can spot immediately the error.
I tried to find it by ssh in Linux but couldn't...

I finally found the problem.


Started to create a dummy file in each folder of source location (I've a huge list) and then check if it was sync to destination.
Then the same for subfodlers and so on.
I found a f**** file that was in a bad zone of the disk an causing cycling read error.
I would be so easy if the app returned something  like unable to copy D:\xxxx\xxxx\xxxxx.xx
