I have to be honest: I really like my D-Link 890 router, which is working pretty well but not perfectly by any means. I switched to D-Link after 8 years of being with Netgear. Why did I leave them? Because their support and bug fixes became seldom, and probably after 18 months, they pretty much would stop supporting previous (old?) models and would only address the newer routers that they would release.
I bought my D-Link 890 in October 2015. So its now becoming a concern of mine that the last official firmware release is from July 2015 and the current BETA firmware release (1.09 build

is from November 11, 2015. So here is my question: It's almost March 2016 and there has not been anything released. I personally do not like to run BETA's. I use the router for work and don't want to make my current issues possibly even worse.
This is not a rant against D-Link. It is more of me making my concern public, and I am sure that this opinion is shared by other users in this forum. I just don't want D-Link tech support / firmware developers to become "good enough". Please, I ask you to address this issue and give us an official release sooner, rather than later. Based on the release notes that are shown with the most current BETA, there are numerous & serious issues that are not working properly in the current official version.
Or is the idea now at D-Link is to worry only about the "new" 895 model and making sure that those owners are catered to, while the 890 owners can just deal with what is out there.
