Ever since I updated the firmware of my 4 DCS-7513 cameras (from v1.10 to v1.12), I noticed they became horribly slow, awful quality and very very low bitrate recordings (below 1000kbps in H264 1080p, recording like 1 frame every 5 seconds), even the standard interval blinking green led on the camera itself was blinking irregularly instead...
To cut a long story short I discovered in the end where the sudden slowness came from:
since the upgrade the motion detection went crazy! No matter what I set, even with SENSITIVITY at ZERO % and NO DETECTION ZONE at all (!), it still will "detect" movements every 2 to 3 seconds, day and night, resolution, codec or any other image setting does not matter, it just "detects" permanently, overloading the camera that much it can't even do its basic purpose correctly anymore.
Only solution is to uncheck the motion detection completely, then the camera behaves again as before. I never experienced this issue before the firmware upgrade with the exact same settings.
Is D-Link aware of this and will there be a solution for the next firmware?
