Unable to store video record in a Synology NAS
« on: July 22, 2016, 12:58:39 AM »

HI all
first I'm sorry for my poor English, I'm a french guy !
I have a DCS-5222LB1 IP cam, and two NAS : a WD MyBookLive and a Synology DS116...
I want to store video records into my Syno NAS, so in the server configuration page I put the NAS address + path of storage of recording, like this :
\\192.168.1.180\volume1\Camera_Salon
It's doesn't work, when I test it in the configuration page I have an "Error Test" message...
When I try with the WD MyBookLive NAS, with the same format :
\\192.168.1.189\Sauvegarde\Camera_Salon
It's working fine !
In the Syno NAS I have created a user named "Cam_Salon" with a psswrd and a share point with the access rules for this user (R/W)...
In the server configuration page of my cam I put the user and password, but always error test...
Is there somebody here who can explain me what is the right configuration with a syno NAS ?
First, what is the transfer protocol use by a Dlink cam : NFS or SMB/CIFS ?
Last point  : I won't use Surveillance Station in my Syno NAS, only "simple" record into a share path...
Thanks in advance and sorry if it's not clear !
