Hello,

I have installed DSC933L and using it with my NAS Synology.

Currently using in wireless mode, with latest firmware.

Is it usual that green LED still blinking in wireless connection?

When I attach the ethernet wire green LED remain permanenty green.

Hello FurryNutz.

Firmware version  1.14.11 (2016-12-14)
What region are you located? EUROPE - Czech Republic

What Mfr and model is the main host router? EDIMAX BR6228NS/BR6228NC
What wireless modes are you using? do not understand where can I find this info. In the router menu is stated mode AP, Band 2.4 GHZ(B,G,N), channel 11(in router menu and also in dlink camera menu)
What is the distance between the Camera and the main host router? 6feet / one wall between the router and the camera

Green maybe indication of wireless signal quality or strength. What does the user manual say? Unfortunately I have not found in the user manual what does the manual say about blinking of the green led

I have 4bay NAS sinology and several times during the day I receive these notification emails:
- Corresponding services have been stopped as Synology Surveillance Station has lost the connection to the following camera(s): D-Link - DCS-933L.
- Corresponding services have been resumed as Synology Surveillance Station has been reconnected to the following camera(s): D-Link - DCS-933L.

Everything works (mean motion detection capcuring, the camera live view) but still losing the connection, almost immediately but not every time the camera is reconnected and green led still blinking. Sometimes it does stay disconnected and red LED switched on. I have read the answers how to switch the blinking of the green led, but I prefer to ivestigate what cause this. I have tried to switch audio in the camera menu but this not that problem.

I have also in Extended Wireless Network settings of the camera unticked Enable Extender Mode(mean deactivated) and have lost wireless connection immediately. When I turn it back and thick enable extender mode the connection  works and I can access to the camera via IP via IE or mydlink menu.

Lets try a single mode N and WPA2 and AES and a manual channel of 11 or 13 only if you can set these on your router. How I have my router set for my 933L.

Hello FurryNutz,

it is done - mean:

single mode N(band 2,4 GHz N) and WPA2 and manual channel 13, set these only on my router.
Unfortunately I do not have an AES in the router menu so let AP the menu called mode(another possibilites are station infrastructure, AP bridge point to point, AP bridge point to multi point, AP bridge WDS, universal repeater)

Still disconnecting/connecting, sometimes after while only disconnecting, green led blinking.

AES will fall under any WPA2 settings in the routers UI, if they have it listed. Maybe called security settings or Encryption as well. Might also see TPIK or Mixed Auto.

You might try doing a factory reset, connect the LAN cable to the camera and find the IP address it gets from the router. Log into this IP address and manually update FW using the file from the mydlink.com site or the main D-Link support site. After loading FW, do a factory reset again then setup from scratch.

I'm using a static IP address on my camera of 192.168.0.93.

Also might take the camera to a different location, say friend, family or neighbor and see if you can set it up there and see if the problem follows. If it does, then maybe the camera is going bad.

Also check the power adapter tip for volts and amps and make sure they are the same as on the sticker. Sometimes these can go bad as well.
