Link>Welcome!
- Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the DCSs web page under status.
- What region are you located?
What Mfr and model is the main host router?
Were you able to set up the camera using the mydlink Lite app?
Are you using a Dynamic IP address ON the camera or a Static IP address ON the camera.
I'll get back to you on the firmware. I manually updated it last night. Today I got no less than 25 false alarms, but this illustrious piece of 'technoloty' missed
1. My son getting into his car and pulling out of the driveway (within 10' of the camera)
2. The mailman who also passes within 10'
3. Me coming home in my Ford Explorer.
4. the 6' tall UPS delivery guy
5. All 240 pounds of me right in front of it.
It did trigger when I put my phone RIGHT in front of the lens to measure the wifi signal. It also triggered this morning when I pulled out of the garage (Still dark) and 2 or 3 times when headlights went by on the street.
So, it gives me false alerts all day long for slight shadow changes but it missed a 4000 pound truck and 3000 pound car.. That certainly doesn't inspire confidence. I believe you forward things to Dlink so I'm hoping you can forward my frustration to them.
I am in Pennsylvania, USA
The main router is an actiontec from verizon. My son and I have a number of devices that function with no problems. I am attaching through a belkin router that is in my breezeway and set as a WAP. Devices working include - 2 android phones, 2 wireless printers, a wireless thermostat, a laptop, an ipad,
using wpa/wpa2 personal AES encryption
More Info
Protected Mode > off
802.11e/WMM QoS > on
The signal strength should be good. The belkin is up high and there is a cinder block wall and the wooden beam over the garage door.
Today when I came home, the unit had lost the wifi. I rebooted it (pulled the plug) and it reconnected after about 10 min

A couple of points
1 The 933l I have inside on wifi has been working good for about a year and a half. No issues.
2. YEs, I could set up the camera using the app.
3. I checked where the camera is with wifi analyzer on my phone and the signal strength is -70 bd. That could be a problem. I can run ethernet to the garage or under the eve and put a wifi repeater or access point out there.
4. I am set up with 2 wifi points. One in the basement at the far end of the cape cod house and one in my breezeway. All of our other devices work ok with this. They both use the same SSID. I don't see any signal from the basement wap at the camera.
5. I am using gmail for sending the emails. I am probably going to use a different email account. I don't see anything ending up in junk mail.
I see it on my actiontec

Questions
1. Is there anything I can do about the sensitivity. I have the setting at 20 percent and most of the screen except where it sees the street is marked with opaque reddish tiles
2. Does anything happen if my 933l is sending an email that would block the 936? IOW, can my dlink account handle 2 emails at once? I would think it could.
3. Am I correct in assuming that the reddish tiles are ACTIVE spots for motion detectors?
One thing I'm probably going to do is put an SD card in and also set it up for FTP. I'm a bit under the weather so it will take a day or so to get that done. I'll try a setting of 30 percent tomorrow and see if that actually sees large vehicles movint.
Sorry about the rambling.
thanks
