DNS-325 unresponsive with solid white LED
« on: August 27, 2017, 03:28:06 PM »

I'm unable to access the DNS-325 after a day of no activity.  I try to access the drive, and can't.  I have to unplug and then plug it back in.  Typically the unresponsiveness happens after about 24 hours.

I have two solid white LEDs on the front and a solid white power indication.  I have turned off the hibernation options in the system management.

I haven't been able to find another thread that addresses this issue, but apologize if there already is one.  Appreciate any information.

Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your DNS? Look at the sticker behind or under the device.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the DNSs web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

What Mfr and model is the main host router?
Is the DNS getting a Dynamic IP address from the main host router? I recommend using a Static IP address ON the DNS set to 192.168.#.32 or .25
