« on: July 18, 2017, 12:30:39 AM »

Good day

Can somebody please assist me with a way to edit the samba.conf?  I want to try use this NAS with Windows Server Backup but haven't figured out how we can add "strict allocate = yes" to the samba.conf.

Thanks

The configuration of smb.conf Samba Server, built into the NAS firmware, is useless to edit. It is generated every time the NAS is started. You can try using add-on Samba. Add-on temporarily replaces the built-in Samba and allows you to edit smb.conf. To return to the built-in Samba simply remove the add-on and reboot the NAS.
