Author Topic: Problem connecting new windows vista 64bit laptop to router  (Read 5403 times)

I have tried all day to connect this new laptop (HP G70-467CL 64 bit Vista operating system) to the 625 router to no avail. I currently have 2 machines connected wireless, 1 has WindowsXP and the other has WindowsVista non-64bit. I had no problems with either of those machines connecting to the router as with the daughters machine with vista. Does any know if there is a compatibility issue with windows vista-64bit and this router? It detects the network SSID and shows it. I have WPA enabled on the router. This is really driving me nuts here!  >:(

I do recall that the network stack has been redone and there is more traffic going over the network,  Microsoft has known about this.  The DHCP service from the router is the problem. Here is a possible patch:
