What the topic says, can DCS-2670L connect on the 5GHz band, or is it 2.4GHz only?
Strangely the data sheet says nothing about it.
Considering to buy it (the model is available in Europe) to replace the ageing, but trusty 2332L, with the outlook to have a 180 degree view angle.

PS: Reading reviews, it seems like it won't be a good idea...

No 5GHz on the model in Canada, but it's immaterial as it cannot detect motion anyway.  The 180 HD view is great.  That's the only positive I can think of.

All IoT cameras I have seen operate at 2.4 GHz. The obvious reason for this is that they need range. 2.4 GHz  is fast enough for good quality video. So why throw away range for speed?

Pity.

Basically because the 2670L in my topology would be closer to the router and with fewer obstacle, than the indoor 2630L, which supports both 5GHz and 2.4GHz. The real question is to D-Link - why throw away versatility.

In addition 2.4GHz is pretty crowded in the neighbourhood, plus I already have several devices/cams on the 2.4GHz band.

Seems that one can connect it up with a 5Ghz wireless bridge using it's Ethernet connected cable...
The you could have a 5Ghz connected camera.
Not relistic for outdoor use or recommended for this camera if used outside.
