Where to get firmware 3.11 - looked but can't find
« on: July 31, 2009, 02:40:59 PM »

On the router communications page  it shows that I have Firmware Version: 3.01.  I would like to upgrade but can't find the link.  Although if things are working, maybe I should not upgrade?

I would recommend not upgrading unless you having a problem with an item they fixed.

As the saying goes "If it aint broke, dont fix it."

Yea that's what I was thinking.  I do like to keep current and there have been multiple firmware updates since 3.01.  But from what I read you go back once you install the firmware.  Although I saw a post were someone changed a few lines on the BIN code and was able to reverse the firmware.

The only problem I have having is with my 2.4 ghz phone and microwave.  It knocks down my sons connection.  He is on the second floor and the router is on the first floor. I can set the channel so that the phone doesn't knock him down but then the microwave will knock out the signal.  His room is directly above the kitchen microwave.

Me, I never get knocked down but then I am only 3 feet from the router base.

Hi, yes you can go back using my 'edit' method. But your issue is the 2.4ghz phone, not firmware. Your only real solution is to get new phones, 5.8ghz. This cured it for me.....
Now if DLink would only test with Intel (free!) upnp tools and a voip softphone then my other issues would be gone as well :-)

Hi there,

I also looked for the 3.11 firmware - but I can't find it. Can someone tell me where to find it?

Thanks,

Bart
