I don't like to even think that my COVR 3902 is failing, but I'm having to reboot it now every two days, because the network gets into a state with extreme packet loss where devices are failing to load webpages when requested. I already have the router set to reboot once a week, but lately that hasn't been good enough. I have an average of 36 devices active on the network at any given time. My modem status page is not really showing errors. I ran some ping tests and an hour after rebooting the modem and router showed high ping loss at hop 1. According to what I read, this appears to be a router problem. Cables have been recently changed out for new. The router and the AP are both current on FW. Hardware Version: A1 Firmware Version: 1.01 for the base and the AP. So my question is, does this sound like the router is failing? And since DLink has sunsetted the COVR3902, what options do I have? I love the COVR3902 setup, the current mesh systems do not have enough ethernet ports to satisfy my setup. I already have an 8 port switch on my network. Having single ethernets on satellite access points just won't work for our household. I have already wired all the needed ethernet lines in to the home office, and I cannot move the move from there. I can't see where locating all of the satellites in the same room would be productive, and that's what I would have to do to have barely enough ethernet connections.
