.11N wireless Device shows as .11G Mode
« on: August 17, 2009, 05:40:23 PM »

Hi,

Added a TrendNet WIreless "Gaming Adapter" as they call it....model  TEW-647GA (.11N capable and backwards compatible to .11G and .11B)

So far it does the job interfacing my XBox360 and the wireless LAN on my DIR-655.

My dilemma, or rather quandry, is that on the DIR-655 Wireless Status Page it reports under the "Mode" column, as being 802.11g

I have the device set for .11N only mode, and as a test, I even changed the router settings from G/N Mode to N only Mode and there is no change on the wireless Mode Status page.

Is this a firmware bug maybe ?  Anybody got any thoughts or comparable experiences ?
